Privacy
This page explains how personal data is handled on the Skyloq website and in Skyloq Hub. Processing of customer data is also governed by the customer's agreement and data processing agreement.
1. Companies and privacy contact
The companies involved in Skyloq are Cloudly Oy (Finnish Business ID 3446442-8) and Saimaa Solutions Oy (Finnish Business ID 2944818-3). For privacy matters, contact lassi@cloudly.fi.
The customer organisation is the controller of personal data it uploads. Under the service's data processing agreement, Saimaa Solutions processes that data on the customer's instructions and Cloudly provides hosting, operation and technical administration. Requests concerning customer data may be directed to the relevant customer organisation.
2. This website and cookies
Skyloq.fi is a static product website. It has no user accounts, contact form, analytics tracking or advertising tracking. The website does not set its own cookies or use browser local storage. Fonts and illustrations are served from the website's own files.
Delivering a page requires the hosting service to process technical request information, such as your IP address, the requested URL and HTTP information sent by your browser. This information may be processed to deliver the website and maintain its reliability and security. Technical delivery and protection of the website are based on the legitimate interest in maintaining a secure online service.
Skyloq Hub is a separate service that uses cookies necessary for sign-in and session management. Following a link to Hub or Saimaa Solutions' contact page takes you to that service's data processing environment. This product website does not receive submissions from the external contact form.
3. Data handled in Skyloq Hub
Account information may include your name, email address, password hash, organisation membership and permissions. Sign-in session information may include your IP address, browser information and session expiry. The service also handles invitations and authentication verification information.
Customer uploads may include images, observations, location information, flight logs and other project or device data. Images or other material may contain identifiable people. The customer is responsible for having a lawful basis to upload the material and for providing the necessary information to the people concerned.
4. Purposes and grounds for processing
Data is processed to provide the service, authenticate users, manage permissions, store and review uploaded material, provide customer support, and maintain and secure the service. Information provided in an enquiry is used to answer your request and, where appropriate, take steps towards an agreement.
The customer organisation determines the purposes and legal basis for processing its own data. Processing of customer material in the service follows the customer's documented instructions and the agreed data processing terms. Special categories of personal data or data relating to criminal convictions must not be uploaded without a separate agreement.
5. Servers and data location
Skyloq is hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the EU. Customer material is stored in the EU. Cloudly maintains the service.
Technical data related to website delivery and maps may also be processed outside the EU/EEA with appropriate data protection safeguards. Further details are in the service's data processing agreement.
6. Retention and deletion
Personal data is retained only as long as required by its purpose, the customer agreement or an applicable legal obligation. Technical log retention is limited to operational and security needs. The current production database retains automated backups for 14 days; deleted data may remain in a backup during that rotation period.
The service's data processing agreement describes three-year retention of flight logs during a subscription and the customer's ability to delete individual records earlier. On termination, return or deletion follows the customer's choice and the agreement, normally within 60 days, taking account of backup rotation and any legal retention obligations.
7. Protecting your data
The service uses encrypted connections, individual user accounts and organisation-scoped permissions. Its production database is on a private network. Access to stored material is restricted through permissions and time-limited download URLs. Passwords are not stored in plain text.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable data protection law, you may request access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate information, deletion or restriction of processing. You may also have rights to object to processing and to data portability. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it.
Send questions or requests to lassi@cloudly.fi. We may ask for information necessary to confirm your identity and identify the data concerned. Requests relating to a customer's material are handled with the relevant controller. You may also lodge a complaint with the Finnish Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman.
9. Updates
We update this page when the service or its data processing changes. The current version and update date are available here. This description does not amend the data processing terms agreed with a customer.
